Online Video Poker Hand Ranking
Below we give the video poker ranking. The hands are described according to the size of payback. That is why Royal flush provides the highest payouts while High card or One pair (in video poker) has the lowest payback. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the bigger the payouts are the lower possibility of the hand occurring.
Royal Flush
Royal Flush is the sequence of five cards of one suit made up of the cards of the highest value: ace, king, queen, jack and ten. According to the video poker hand ranking this hand is the best video poker hand with has the biggest payouts.
Straight Flush
This hand is the sequence of five cards of the same suit however the highest card may be any card unlike in royal flush. For example, the hand which has 7, 8, 9, 10 and jack of clubs is called Straight flush.
Four of a Kind
This is the hand which has four card of the same rank but one of a different, for instance, four eights and nine.
Full House
Full House contains three cards of one rank and two of another rank, as two sevens and three twos.
Flush
Flush contains any five cards of one definite suit (spades, clubs, diamonds, hearts) without regard to the rank of the cards.
Straight
Straight is the hand with five cards in straight with no regard for the suit, like eight, nine, ten, jack and queen.
Three of a kind
This hand comprises three cards of one rank like the hand of three fours and two other cards with different value and suit.
Two pair
This hand has two cards of one rank and two other cards of the same rank. For example, the hand of two eights and two queens is called Two pair.
One pair
This hand contains two cards of one value and three other cards, for example two queens and three other cards.
High card
High card hand is the combination of different cards that doesn’t correspond to any of the winning combinations. High card hand is used just in regular poker cause only when two or more gamblers get high card hands the winner is that gambler whose hand comprises the highest card. In video poker each player gamble against computer hence it is not possible to compare the hands of the gamblers and indicate the winner. So this hand is never applied in video poker games.
